ABOUT THE FOOT SURGERY
Ms. Meena Matharu, BSc MRCPod FRCPodS POMS ACP IP SP, trained at The University of Westminster, and attained her Degree in Podiatric Medicine in 1991.
In 2002, she completed a rigorous surgical postgraduate training programme and was appointed a Fellow of the Faculty of Podiatric Surgeons. She has a wealth of clinical experience in both the NHS and private sectors. Previous appointments include consulting in Harley Street, Harrods, representing her profession on the radio and contributing to the health section of the Financial Times. In 2021 Meena undertook further post-graduate training at City University and is now an Advanced Clinical Practitioner and an Independent prescriber.

What is a Registered Podiatrist and Podiatric Surgeon?
Podiatrists that are registered with the Royal College of Podiatry and the HCPC are medical professionals who have undergone extensive training at degree level; are qualified to diagnose disorders of the lower limb, the foot, and the associated muscular skeletal system or symptoms that manifest due to underlying health issues.
Podiatric surgeons are clinicians that have enhanced their scope of practice by undertaking extensive surgical theory and practical training at post-graduate (Masters) level within the field of foot surgery. As such, they are experts in the surgical technique associated with the foot and ankle.
