STEROID INJECTIONS
Steroid medication (also known as corticosteroids) are anti-inflammatory injections that can be administered by a medical professional directly into the inflamed area. It can be used to treat pain from arthritis, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, Morton’s neuroma, capsulitis, and ankle injuries such as strains and sprains.
The advantage of injecting into the painful site is that the inflamed area is treated directly with a large dose of anti-inflammatory as opposed to taking NSAID orally which work systemically and therefore aren’t always specific to a particular area. This is an extremely popular treatment for managing severe pain and inflammation.
TESTIMONIAL
" I was diagnosed with a Mortons neuroma. The pain was excruciating. It made me cry. Painkillers didn't work. I consulted Ms Matharu who recommended a steroid injection. I can now walk miles and am no longer in pain. "
